What is ReScrape?
ReScrape is a geofenced bidding marketplace connecting scrap sellers (households, businesses) with verified professional dealers. The app uses secure location discovery, geocoding, and live bidding dashboards.
Who can register as a Seller vs Dealer?
Sellers (households and waste generators) create secure profiles to list scrap materials instantly. Dealers (recyclers, yards, and professional buyers) register, upload business credentials (GST or local permits), and wait for admin vetting to unlock bidding access.
02. Bidding Protocols
How do I bid on a listing?
Dealers use the Explore tab on Google Maps to find nearby listings. You can define your active range in settings, place per-unit bids, select proposed pickup schedules, and track active bids directly from the 'My Biddings' dashboard.
What do the listing statuses mean?
Listings progress through several states: **Active** (accepting bids), **Closed** (a bid is accepted, chat is unlocked), and **Sold** (pickup complete and settled).
03. Logistics & Pickups
How do we coordinate pickups?
Once a bid is accepted, the seller and buyer unlock in-app messaging. Direct chat is powered by instant real-time channels for prompt coordination of pickup timing, vehicle capacity, and address details.
Is real-time mapping required?
The app uses GPS location services to identify the pickup address and plot routes. Real-time geocoding ensures coordinates match the actual location.
04. Payments & Settlements
How is direct payout handled?
All scrap settlements occur directly between the Dealer and Seller during collection. Payout is issued on-site using UPI, bank transfer, or cash once the weight and quality parameters are verified.
Are there platform fees?
Early access for households and local sellers is entirely free. Professional dealers have standard subscription or commission parameters detailed during their profile setup.
05. Account & Security
How do I delete my account?
You can delete your account at any time. Go to the menu drawer, tap 'Help & Support' → 'Delete Account' to initiate the automated erasure of your profile and data, or write to us at info@rescrape.in.
How secure is the platform access?
Verified credentials ensure that listings and bids are tied to authenticated profiles, preventing fake accounts and bid manipulation.
